CO-OPERATIVE LEARNING

“GUIDE TO DESIGNING AND MANAGING A CO-OPERATIVE LEARNING NETWORK”Colectivo Cinética.

“We learn together to do it alone”
Francisco Zariquiey Biondi

Co-operation consists of working together to achieve common goals. In a co-operative situation, individuals seek to obtain results that are beneficial to themselves and to all other members of the group. Co-operative learning is the instructional use of small groups in which students work together to maximise their own learning and that of others.
To achieve this:

  • We design heterogeneous groupings
  • We combine whole-class work, individual work, and work in co-operative teams
  • We foster an attitude of co-operation with classmates among the pupils.
  • We ensure the existence of peer tutoring relationships among the team members.
  • We carry out individual and group assessments
  • We carry out self-assessments, including our own.

With the intention of fostering co-operative relationships, our centre aims to go beyond classroom application. We believe in developing empathetic individuals who are capable of understanding others and putting themselves in their shoes.
