Cénit School and Sport

SPORTS PROJECT

From our Sports Project and by means of Physical Education, we will try to guide our programmes so that they help to achieve the Educational Aims of the school and give greater importance to our pupils’ health and bodily hygiene.

Through Physical Education, pupils express their spontaneity, encourage their creativity and, above all, allow them to get to know, respect and value themselves and others.

They learn, execute and create new forms of movement with the help of different play, recreation and sport activities. In these classes the pupils can develop themselves, be creative and show their spontaneity as individuals who want to discover the many alternatives that can be applied in the future in their social life and which they cannot easily achieve in other subjects.

Most of our pupils will probably not become elite sportsmen and women, nor will sport be their livelihood. But adequate physical activity will enable them to fully develop their daily activities in the future. In the Physical Education department we try to ensure that our pupils get to know the greatest number of sporting disciplines, by personally contacting the different Sports Federations, in order to ensure that the best professionals can teach first hand all the different sports that exist.

In addition, at our school, we have 3 sessions a week of Physical Education, to place importance on health in our society, and therefore in our pupils. If from childhood they are able to give this value to sport, physical health and hygiene, we will be educating them in a responsible way in the healthy habits of the future society.

Within these sessions it is worth highlighting the fundamental part of the school’s Sports Project, which we have put so much effort into. This includes a weekly swimming lesson in the heated pool for the whole primary school.
